Grants for Young Researchers

With reference to the activities of the WATER-GIS Thematic Network (GIS for Water Resources Management), and the related project, aimed at organising a series of EuroEvents supported by the European Commission - High-Level Scientific Conferences (Contract n°: HPCF-CT-2001-00147), grants to young researchers were assigned in order to help them to participate in the Euroevents organised within ECO-GEOWATER project.

During the project, 148 grants were assigned to young researchers from different European Countries in order to promote their participation in the EuroEvents of Eco-Geowater and to give them the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and to get in touch with professionals and academics operating in the fields of interest. The 148 were distributed as follows:

34 grants for the Euroconference "Link Geo and Water Research" (Genova, 7 – 9 February 2002)

20 grants for the Workshop "GI and Water Resources Assessment" (Oxford, 9 – 13 July 2002)

24 grants for the Workshop "GI and Natural Hazards" (Milano, 18 – 22 November 2002)

22 grants for the Workshop "GI and Water Use Management" (Genova, 18 – 22 March 2003)

19 grants for the Eurolab Course "GIS and Water Domain" (Genova, 2 – 6 March 2004)

29 grants for the Final Euroconference "GI and International River Basin Management" (Budapest, 3 – 5 June 2004)
