ECO-GEOWATER Euro Workshop

Title: " GI and Water Resources assessment"

This event is organised in order to make possible to better and in more detail construct the development
of the fields addressed by the working group GI and Water Resources assessment.

During this, after the presentation of the workshop topics in the perspective of their inherent content of Geographical Information and of their requirements for GIS applications, research subjects, projects and problem issues will be presented and discussed.

The workshop addresses the problems of sustainable management in water resources. The focus is
on methods and procedures to plan, to monitor and to control the exploitation of these resources.
That means presentation of the main problems, of the GIS approach and of actual implementation cases.

The workshop agenda will be structured, according to the GIS approach and use when dealing with:

• Design and implementation of an integrated data structure and management system
• Development of linked CIS applications
