Mobile mapping system for coastal survey and landscape. The new tools, software and projects in regards also of the economic frame in the Balcans

In 2004 ECO-IMAGINE Conference in Genova, the Mobile Mapping System methodology has been presented. It has been applied to almost 2000 km in Italy and Balkan Adriatic Coast, so allowing a good confidence on the method and the possibility of use the data not only for a ROAD GIS but also as witness of the present increasing coast invasion by buildings. In order to allow experts and inhabitants to know the situation is, a GIS is to be implemented in PDA; an example has been already finished for a valley close to Verona, with innovative solutions for planning as well as for tourism.
