Abstract
The variety and the complexity of the landscapes of Liguria is a resource for the quality of the life of its citizens. To exploit such a resource implies firstly to arise awareness of the landscape and to know its via a thorough process of analysis and evaluation at different scales, in space and along time, to assess our one and to individuate the strategic nodes upon which a targeted design action can start-up changes for improvement.
This process, inherent to a "repossession" of landscape, has to be carried out also together with the citizens to re-compose a relationship citizen-landscape that, grounding on awareness of one's heritage and on the individuation of the values and problems of "everyday" landscape, redefines models for sustainable management and new ways of life.
With the help of some examples, a consideration
will be proposed about Liguria as a laboratory of landscape-diversity. Trough
the analysis of conflicts and of the overwhelming anthropic impact on the coast
mirrored by abandon and decay of inland, are then proposed integration projects
to re-compose the diverse needs in highly complex situations as well as strategic
actions able to start-up able to trigger exploitation processes. That is done
also by creating systems linking small and weak realities in the neglected landscapes.
