Development and management of Nice harbour

Located in the heart of the city, the port of Nice is a multifunctionnal structure. It hosts various activities : yachting, cruises, nautical sports, goods related traffic and passengers traffic to Corsica. Many stakeholders, from the Port authority to the associations, interact in order to share this structure in accordance with sustainable management principles.

The development of Nice harbour aims at :
- improving passengers as well as boats reception
- improving the residents environment
- taking care and advantage of the natural and cultural heritage

In order to achieve these goals, working groups have been set up to deal with issues considered of great importance : water quality, air pollution, noise, waste management, the Environmental Charter of Nice City, the connection port / city.

The presentation will introduce all these issues and will give an insight into the projects related to this port and its neighbourhood.
