The initiative will develop along 48 months and will be
structured in:
- One initial Conference, to introduce the general themes,
the partners of the initiative and the Working Groups
- A series of three thematic Conferences focusing, by
means of background papers and presentations on the issues and the state
of the art relevant to each Working Group
- A series of three Training Courses including: i) tutorials;
ii) case studies; iii)simulation exercises; iv) field trips, in order
to practically approach the themes discussed and to introduce to the
use of GIS for ICM
- A final Conference that sums up the working groups,
also by the presentation of successful ICM programmes, and summarises/makes
a balance of the whole initiative, by synthesising the progress of each
Working Group, the state of art in comparison with the start of the
activity, the eventual projects or collaborations arisen.
