GEO-SPATIAL TECHNOLOGIES

Thia cross-cutting Working Group is expected to deal with the technological features of GI. As a matter of fact, this aspect is crucial for the phase of building knowledge as well as it is relevant for the other ECO-IMAGINE streams and is instrumental to the implementation of ICM programmes. From the point of view of Information Technologies experts, the ECO-IMAGINE initiative is expected to be an opportunity for tuning up GI technologies and research on the actual needs of coastal management and to set up the bases for creating transferable models for shared information and data sets. From the point of view of ICM experts, instead, it is a chance for having a general view of the opportunities supplied by a specialised technology and, as a consequence, to calibrate the future projects on these bases.
