LINK TO THE GI-INDEED E-LEARNING PLATFORM

The GI-INDEED project focuses on to give a location independent learning facility and therefore it uses e-Learning software to accomplish this task. The e-Learning platform also give the students the ability to take the courses in their own speed and also interact with the teacher on times that suite them.

After analysis and evaluation of different solutions it was decided to base the Learning Management Systems (LMS) on open source solutions that are free to use. A LMS from Dokeos Corporation was selected to be used within the project.

The Dokeos LMS gives the following benefits to the project:

• Creating student lists (email, authorisation, grouping …)
• Messages
• Schedules, deadlines etc
• Documents (literature, presentations, instructions etc)
• Teacher view and student view
