Associated Members
The GISIG Associated Members are enterprises, universities, research centres, local bodies and other organisations dealing with Geographical Information and territorial problems. This manifold partnership allows a trans-disciplinary skill, focusing both the technical potentiality of GIS and their different use in the application fields.
The Association Network has been developed according to three operating levels. At a European level the Association has a role of co-ordination and of promotion of initiatives of common interest for the partnership; the thematic and the regional level allow, respectively, to develop the activity in specific application domains and to transfer to a National and Regional level the scheme of University-Enterprise co-operation promoted by GISIG since its establishment in 1992.
