"La Mandria" park is one of the most important houses of the Savoy monarchy. It is an "historical" park near Torino. Its morphology is characterized by alluvial terraces where woods alternate with wide pastures, little lakes and agricultural lands. The variable rural landscape invites you to relax and at the same time to enjoy the precious architectonical aspects: royal residences dating back to the times of the king Vittorio Emanuele II, like castles and hunting lodges, besides farmsteads of the previous centuries and ancient churches. The vegetation of the area derives from an ancient forest rich in oaks and ash trees and offers shelter to many species of animals (http://www.parks.it/parco.mandria/Eindex.html)
