Other EU Projects
PANEL-GI is also linked with two
EU projects which started in parallel with PANEL-GI.
- GIPSIE (GIS Interoperability Project Stimulating
the Industry in Europe) in the framework of the ESPRIT Programme, which
aims deal with the establishment of an OpenGIS interest group to unite
the European industry. The linkage with PANEL-GI has the scope to enlarge
the interest group to CEEC.
- ABDS (Administrative Boundary Data Services) in the
framework of the INCO-COPERNICUS Programme, which aims deals with the
preparation and on-line delivery of administrative boundary data in
CEEC. That is very useful for the development of the GI market in CEEC
and for the PANEL-GI partners in the implementation of the network and
project issues.
